I find myself interested in items that are found at Nordstrom more and more often nowadays. When Younkers used to be open in Eau Claire, I thought some of the brands carried there were similar to what’s at Nordstrom.

With the anniversary sale I went in with the mindset of finding staple pieces for fall and after baby Weiss comes. While a few of the pieces I liked are similar in style to ones that can be found just about anywhere, the quality is better and the minor changes in the designs make them a step above the others.

Saw this on quite a few bloggers last year and kept thinking how much I loved it. With the sale I was hoping to order the mustard yellow color. I like that it’s a shorter, boxier length, however my order was canceled because it’d sold out. Find the Madewell Fleet Jacket Here.

Cole Haan has a great reputation for supportive, comfortable shoes. When I saw these in black leather with a small bit of snakeskin, I had to order them to see how they’d feel. Finally an item that was not sold out and I am keeping. Love this cheetah print spaghetti strap look! I ordered a medium for post-birth purposes. It is a touch shorter in the front than it is in the back. As seen in the picture, the top, arm pit part does come up pretty high so it doesn’t feel too revealing. From the beginning I was not sure about these but for the price I wanted to order now before they went up. Well either way price didn’t matter. The brown leather here is what I ordered, however it looks super orange to me, like fake leather. For that price I don’t want fake looking booties. The fit was true-to-size. Even though the color online looks coral colored, I was really hoping this would be more of a blush color. This is another item that is going back to Nordstrom. Like I mentioned, I wanted a little bit of a different color for fall. The fit and material were on point though. It’s definitely one of the thicker jackets like this that I have tried on. ** Another reason it’s going back is I found a similar jacket for a cheaper price. This is a hot item on instagram in the fashion world for anyone shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. My first thought was, wow, another drapey thermal shirt. *insert eye roll* but I wanted to try one out to see… because I saw Lauren Kay Sims recommend it and said it was breastfeeding friendly. Plus in my mind, flowy will be great for post-baby. Whelp, it lives up to the hype… doesn’t fall off the shoulders, fitted in the arms and chest but then enough drapey-ness that it will camoflauge momma belly. This was NOT on the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, but I wanted to see if it would work for our maternity pictures. So glad I ordered it!
