Are you a toddler mom like I am? I saw a fun fall activity on the Instagram page Busy Toddler. She highlighted how to paint pumpkins on her page, which really is not hard, but moving on to the fun part. I bought some acrylic paint at Target. I already had some fun brushes from Hobby Lobby with different textures on-hand. It really is an easy toddler activity to put together. It’s just a little messy.

Step 1: Place paint on a paper plate for each child
Step 2: Pick a paint brush
Step 3: Let the kiddos have at it

If you have older kids you can make cut outs for them to paint so they have a fancy pumpkin.
Then taking it to the next level would be to have additional pieces like pom poms and pipe cleaners glued on. I even found a few craft kits at Target that make different faces on the pumpkin.

Busy Toddler also showed a follow up activity of washing the pumpkins.

This is a lot easier and quicker than carving a pumpkin.
